Transmission of Pneumococcus in family units (TOP study)

Would you like your child/children to be vaccinated against the flu at home?

We are inviting families with children who will be aged 2 years this autumn to take part in a research study looking at transmission of pneumococcus (a bacterium/germ) within families (TOP study). In total, about 500 families will be involved in the study in five cities across the UK. The study will be coordinated by the Bristol Children’s Vaccine Centre (University of Bristol) and is funded by Pfizer and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. It has been approved by the South West Cornwall & Plymouth NHS Research Ethics Committee.

Please note that taking part in the study is entirely voluntary meaning you don’t have to participate if you don’t want to. If you are interested, please read the information sheet before deciding whether to take part.
