The PCV15/PCV20 Study

PCV 1520 Information

💉 2 or 3 vaccinations along with other routine vaccinations

🧬 A study which will guide decisions on future changes to the routine UK immunisation schedule
ⓘ Study visits will be in the participant’s own homes.

Participants will have five or 6 study visits at home or at the trial site.  They will receive two doses of either PCV15, PCV20, or PCV13, or three doses of PCV20, as well as all their routine vaccines. These vaccines protect against 15, 20, or 13 strains of Pneumococcal disease, which is a serious bacterial infection.

Blood tests, to measure the immune response to the vaccines, will be taken at two of the visits. Local anaesthetic cream is used to numb the skin. Taking part in this study is voluntary and participants can withdraw at any time.
